What happens when we decide to use 4Guys as our
hosting service?
- We will contact NetworkSolutions and notify them that we will be your new hosting company.
- NetworkSolutions will then contact your current hosting company and notify them of
the change in service. NetworkSolutions requires a response from your current hosting company agreeing to the change.
If this agreement is not received, the change to our company won't be processes.
- After NetworkSolutions gets back the form agreeing to the change, they update their
records and the master computer on the internet that tracks where your domain is actually located on the internet.
- The
final step of the transfer is the notification of the new location to the
other provider companies on the internet. This is necessary since other
internet service providers (ISPs) have their own copies of the master database
and get the changes however often they feel is necessary. Depending on your
provider (not us, since we are a hosting company), this database could be
updated every day or every other day, since it is a large list.
What happens if my current hosting company doesn't
return the emails?

After waiting 2 days, we will contact you to inform you that your
current hosting company is not responding to the transfer requests. At that point, we'll
get some information from you and prepare a transferral form. After the form is ready,
we'll fax it to you, so you can sign it and fax it on your letterhead over to Networksolutions.
- When NetworkSolutions receives the fax, they will allow the orginal
transfer request to go through and everything is back on track.
- The
main side effect of having your hosting company refuse the transfer request is
the delay of the process.
Since I switched to 4Guys, does that mean I'm through
with my old hosting company?

In
most cases, no. While we're now providing you with hosting services, you
should still contact your old hosting company and notify them of the change,
so you won't receive any more bills from them.
I'm nervous about losing emails during the
transfer, can you help at all?
- We'd be happy to! Just let us know and
we'll set up a temporary email account for you to use on 4guysfromtampa and
we'll keep it active until you domain completely transfers and then we'll
forward any emails to that account, to your regular email address for at least
week after that.
Is there any restriction on site content?
- We don't host adult related sites or sites who use
their account for spamming purposes.
I love your Flash animiations, can you
do some for us?
- Sure! We have samples of some Flash animations that are
customizable with your company's name (or any other word or phrase). These effects
(or combinations of these effects) are available in your choice of colors.
